Si ya teníamos realitys de cocineros y cantantes, ahora el gremio de los maquilladores de efectos especiales se apuntan a tener su programa de televisión.El 26 de enero se estrena en EEUU Face Off, concurso en el que maquilladores FX demostrarán sus habilidades para crear zombies, extraterrestres y otras criaturas extrañas propias del género de la ciencia ficción. Los participantes no solamente tendrán que maquillar, sino dominar diseño en 3D, escultura y hacer prótesis.
El jurado estará compuesto de grandes profesionales como Ve Neill (ganador de 4 Oscars, y ha trabajado con Tim Burton entre otros en Ed Wood), Glen Hetrick (de series como X Files y Buffy, the vampire slayer) y Patrick Hetrick (de Resident Evil: Extinction)

El canal que lo emitirá es SyFy, que dedica toda su programación al género de la ciencia ficción, que se estrena en el género del reality show llevándolo a su terreno.
Espero poder ver el programa, porque como aficionado al cine, maquillador recién iniciado y aficionado a la ciencia ficción me ha parecido una gran idea.
