DALÍ & DISNEY

En 1945 el maestro del surrealismo Salvador Dalí y Walt Disney se conocieron durante el rodaje de un film de Hitchcock, para el que Dalí diseño los escenarios en Spellbound. Se quedaron muy impresionados el uno del otro y acordaron un contrato  de dos meses para trabajar juntos en la compañía de Walt. De esta forma Dalí salió de Cataluña para conquistar Hollywood, de la mano del maestro de la animación, que llegó a viajar junto a su esposa a Cadaqués (Girona). 

Pero la aventura americana de Dalí no salió del todo bien, se enfadó porque Hitchock cortó muchas escenas de la película que habían creado juntos, un guión que hizo para Harpo Marx no logró llegar a rodarse, y el cortometraje que había preparado con Walt tuvo problemas de presupuesto por culpa de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. 

Pero por suerte para nosotros, en el 2003 Roy Disney, nieto de Walt, encontró todo el material creado pro ambos artistas, incluso un pequeño fragmento animado de 15 segundos, y creó un cortometraje animado de 7 minutos.

El corto es sin duda propio de Dalí siendo reconocible su estilo personal, y se ha expuesto en exposiciones que han pasado por el Tate Modern de Londres, el MOMA de New York, el museo de Petersburg en Florida y algunos de Barcelona y Madrid entre otros muchos. Además estuvo nominado al Oscar al mejor corto animado.

Actualmente ha sido noticia porque se ha publicado por primera vez con la nueva versión de Fantasía, el clásico de la compañía que ha salido recientemente en DVD y BluRay.

Destino que es como se llama el corto trata sobre una bailarina que se enamora de un jugador de béisbol y son perseguidos por el dios Cronos (el tiempo), siéndoles imposible escapar de sus destinos.

The short one is undoubtedly own of Dalí being recognizable his personal style, and it has been exhibited in exhibitions that have spent for Tate Modern of London, the MOMA of New York, the museum of Petersburg in Florida and some of Barcelona and Madrid between others many. Also it was nominated to the Oscar to better shortly cheered up.

At present it has been a news because they has written for the first time with the new version of Fantasy, the classic one of the company that it has gone out recently in DVD and BluRay.
