Beyoncé protagonizará una nueva versión musical de A Star Is Born (Ha nacido una estrella) segundo remake del original, que ya fue versionado por Barbra Streisand.

Clint Eastwood producirá y dirigirá la adaptación, con guión de Will Fetters (Remember Me).

Del reparto masculino se rumorea que podrían formar pareja con la cantante Will Smith, P. Duddy y Eddie Murphy (con el que coincidió en Dreamgirls). Por el bien de la película espero que sea Will Smith el escogido, porque no me pega P. Duddy, y Eddie Murphy solamente ha sabido trabajar en el musical, por el cual ganó el Golden Globe), pero en lo demás es deprimente.

Para Beyoncé es su segundo musical después de haber triunfado con Dreamgirls, aunque la película optó a premios prestigiosos sobretodo por su compañera Jennifer Hudson, que arrasó con el Oscar y el Golden Globe a la mejor actriz secundaria, y Beyoncé optó como compositora por Listen.
